WATCH: Allseas takes 17,200-ton North Sea giant ashore 42 years after first oil
What happened
Allseas used its Pioneering Spirit vessel to perform a single-lift removal of a 17,200-ton topside following a four-month offshore preparation campaign. The lift is the second under a multi-year TAQA decommissioning contract and forms part of a programme removing over 120,000 tonnes, which makes this operationally real for buyers because yards and heavy-lift slots will be allocated tightly; watch follow-on lifts and yard confirmations for schedule spillover
Why the category manager should care
Treat confirmed large single-lift removals as a real demand driver that will absorb heavy-lift slots and yard capacity relevant to APAC mobilisations
