Besides supplying renewable power to the gas platform, the Culzean Floating Wind pilot is planned to serve as a demonstration platform for floating wind technology, generating operational data and experience to support future commercial projects

Once commissioned, the turbine is expected to provide about 20% of the platform’s electricity demand, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by supplementing power currently generated by gas turbines.
