DeepOcean completes North Sea subsea removal campaign
What happened
DeepOcean completed subsea removal and recovery work at two North Sea fields, including retrieval of a more-than-100-ton wellhead protection structure and ROV disconnection of subsea hardware. The work used the construction vessel Edda Freya and reported that recovered materials were routed for reuse, recycling or disposal, indicating a full end‑to‑end decommissioning execution. Watch whether similar recycle-first approaches are specified in upcoming APAC decommissioning tenders
Why the category manager should care
This is a concrete decommissioning execution example—buyers should expect suppliers to present proven cut-and-lift methods and disposal pathways in bids
